Policies and Conditions 2025

We recommend carefully reading this document well before making your reservation. If you have any questions or want to request any special attention or considerations, you can do so by writing to reservas@chicamasurf.com

Rates:

Rates are in U.S. dollars. We reserve the right to modify the rates based on the trend of the exchange rate of the dollar (US$) to Peruvian Soles or by season.

Reservations:

Reservations can be made online via we at www.chicamaboutiquehotel.com or through email to reservas@chicamasurf.comBear in mind that reservations are subject to availability.

Reservations and Confirmation:

  • For individual reservations: A reservation will be confirmed when carrying out the bank deposit, bank transfer or payment from the debit card or credit (payment link) for the value of the first night of accommodation plus the transfer in (if requested). Please send confirmation of payment of said deposit or transfer to reservas@chicamasurf.com
  • For group reservations: Please consult payments schedule to reservas@chicamasurf.com
  • If the reservation is made by a travel agency, the pre-payment of the total reservation must be in order to confirm the reservation.
  • When the pre-payment has been confirmed by our reservation department, the confirmation of your reservation will be sent, where we will mention:
    • The type of room
    • Accommodations
    • Total nights reserved
    • Type of rate
    • Any extra services requested
    • The remaining amount to pay at the hotel

Note: We recommend presenting the confirmation of your reservation at the time of checking in

No Shows, Cancellations or Postponement of Single Reservations (01 to 06 persons)

  • Cancellations and postponements must be informed at least 10 days before the agreed date for the host arrival, otherwise a penalty will be charged for the value of the first night of accommodation, plus the transfer in (if requested) .
  • All cancellations or postponements must be informed through an email to reservas@chicamasurf.com
  • If the cancellation or postponement was carried out 10 days before the arrival of the host, then the refund of the pre-payment will be made minus the Penalty by Return (see Penalty for Returns policy below)
  • If cancellations and postponements are informed 9 days or less prior to the arrival of the host, a penalty will be charged for the value of the first night of accommodation plus the transfer in based on the original rate.
  • Postponements may be rescheduled within the year in which reservation was made and according to availability. Rescheduling will be subject to current rates and policies may generate additional charges due to fare difference.
  • The number of postponements of a reservation allowed will be three times.
  • For early check out, you must inform at least 48 hours before the check out date, otherwise the penalty will be for the value of one night's accommodation will be charged.
  • No-shows will be penalized with payment of the first night accommodation + transfer in (if requested).
  • For travel agencies: Having made the payment for the total reservation, the return of the total amount will be made minus the penalty for cancellation or postponement and a return penalty.

No Shows, Cancellations or Postponements for Group Reservations (07 to more persons)

  • Cancellations and postponements must be informed at least 30 days before the date for the group's arrival, otherwise a penalty will be charged for the value of reservation total.
  • All cancellations or postponements must be informed via email to reservas@chicamasurf.com
  • Group reservations will be managed as follows:
    • 1. Tentative reservation (not guaranteed)
    • Travel agencies, surf schools or companies usually make their requests for group reservations at least six months in advance.
    • Initially we will block rooms with a maximum of 10 rooms for a period of 30 days; room blocking will be subject to availability.
    • Four months before the group's arrival, the agency or company must confirm the number of rooms sold on that date, cancellation, postponement of dates or request an extension of the deadline for their sale.
      • a. For slow sales, according to our availability, we will evaluate whether the number of rooms initially blocked will be maintained or if the number of rooms blocked will be reduced by the rooms sold.
      • b. For quick sale, according to our availability, we will evaluate whether the number of blocked rooms will be increased.
      • c. For cancellation, the rooms are unlocked
      • d. For postponement, the blocking of rooms will be postponed according to availability.
      • e. For request of deadline extension, it will be evaluated whether the extension is appropriate or not depending on availability. If the extension proceeds, one more month will be provided to continue with its sale.
    • 2. Guaranteed reservation
    • Third month before the group's arrival date, travel agencies, surf schools or companies must make the initial payment of the group reservation corresponding to 50% of the total reservation. This payment will not be refundable.
    • One month before the group's arrival date, the final payment must be made for the remaining balance of the group reservation and send the group's rooming list with distribution of passengers and staff or coach. This final payment will not be refundable.
    • 3. Confirmed reservation
    • The group reservation will be confirmed when we receive the final payment.
    • For cancellation, no show or postponement of the all group reservation or any room or passenger after the final payment has been made, this payment will not be refundable.
    • Postponements may be rescheduled within the year in which reservation was made and according to availability. Rescheduling will be subject to current rates and policies may generate additional charges due to fare difference.
    • The number of postponements of a group reservation allowed will be once

Penalty for Returns:

  • All refund of prepayments requested for cancellation or postponement of a reservation will have a penalty for administrative expenses of US $ 40 for returns abroad and US $ 25 for returns in Peru. Chicama Boutique Hotel will not assume the costs of bank transfers.
  • Returns will be using the same method in which the pre-payment was made (bank transfer or return to the card) within a period of 30 days. If the return to the card cannot be made due to the expiration of the allowed period, the refund will be made via bank transfer.
  • For online reservations: if the guest or travel agency paid for the entire stay, the payment will be refunded from the second night until the last night reserved, minus the charge for administrative expenses of US $ 25 (national transfer) or US $ 40 (foreign transfer).

Transfer Penalties:

  • Confirmations of the transfer service must be made at least 48 hours before the arrival date. Please contact us to  reservas@chicamasurf.com.
  • Modifications and cancellations of the transfer service must be made at least 48 hours before the time agreed in your reservation. Please contact us to  reservas@chicamasurf.com
  • If you request the cancellation or modification of the transfer service less than 48 hours before providing the service, we will charge the respective penalty.
  • In case of cancellation or modification less than 48 hours before providing the service, we will charge the amount of US$ 60.00 as a penalty.
  • In case of no show, we will charge the amount of US$ 60.00 as a penalty.

Policy for Underage Guests:

  • All minors (under 18 years of age) must enter the hotel accompanied by their parents or guardians.
  • If a guardian accompanies the minor, they must present an authorization from the parents.
  • Minors must bring their identity document and present it at Check In
  • Children under 09 years old will not pay for accommodation, sharing bed with their parents or guardians (breakfast is not included).
  • Only 01 child under 09 years old will be accepted with free accommodation per room, extra children (under 09 years old) will have to pay the adult rate.
  • Children from 00 to 08 years old who have free accommodation will have to pay for breakfast (US$ 5.00 per day per child)
  • If you want the additional bed for free, you can request it prior coordination with the reservations area (24 hours in advance). Otherwise we will offer a free additional bed when you are at hotel, but it will be subjected to availability
  • All children from 9 years old + will have to pay the adult rate
  • All "Transfers In" and "Transfers Out" including transfers to tourist attractions and other beaches for infants (until 08 years) will cost US $ 00.00. This offer will only be given to one child under the age of 8 per vehicle.

Tow-Back Service (Zodiac) and Surf Lessons:

  • All guests who request the Tow-Back service with our zodiacs or surf lessons will have to sign a Disclaimer of Responsibility document. In the case of minors, this document must be signed by one of the parents or guardians.
  • If your reservation has a Towback session included and you decide not to use it, this service will not be refundable. If you are not sure if you are going to use this service we recommend you to book it 24hrs before while being at the hotel.
  • If your reservation has a Towback session included and that day you decide to go somewhere else to surf and do not use the Towback service, what you have paid cannot be used as a credit to pay other services at the hotel.

Pet Policy:

  • Chicama Boutique Hotel is a “Pet Friendly” hotel; we have a rate of US $ 20 per night per pet. Please, request the policies & conditions for pets before your arrival.
